Developed a new method for the site-specific incorporation of unnatural amino acids into proteins in vivo, and thus effectively expanded the genetic code; applied the genetically encoded unnatural amino acids in protein biochemistry, crystallography, and therapeutics. |
| 1994-1997 | M.S. research in Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology, Peking University under the guidance of Professor Zhongfan Liu. Designed and built a high-resolution current-voltage characterization system based on Atomic Force Microscopy; investigated room temperature single-electron phenomena on metal and semiconductor nanoparticles using the above system; participated in Atomic Force Microscopy based nanolithography for ultra-high density information storage. |
